Vicky is responsible for promoting postgraduate skills training and the national and regional activities of Vitae throughout the Yorkshire and North east region. Prior to this Vicky worked as a technical sales representative for a small biotechnology company that developed biological fertilisers for the amenity sector.
Vicky’s background is in agriculture and forestry and she holds a BSc from University of Wales, Bangor in Agroforestry. During her BSc she spent part of her degree in Malawi collecting data on tree rooting patterns where she developed her initial desire for research. On completing her degree she then took up a NERC funded PhD to study Dissolved Organic Nitrogen in Agricultural and Semi Natural Soils. She completed this and published several papers before graduating from Bangor in 2004.
Vicky is also a qualified MBTI step 1 practitioner and a qualified project management PRINCE 2 practitioner.
