For the latest updates and reports on evaluation outcomes and activity see the 'IEG' impact webpages. Tony has published in the area of the impact of researcher development (see recent academic output below) and was an editor of the book ‘Skills Training in Research Degree Programmes – Politics and Practice’ also jointly writing the chapter 'The challenges of research training practice'. He has published in the area of needs analysis and competence models (‘Active Learning in Higher Education’). Tony created the 'Speed PhD' workshop, an experiential induction programme for PhD researchers used at a number of institutions nationally.
