A 40 credit M-level programme which provides a systematic induction into the processes of teaching and managing student learning and is designed for staff on the Teaching & Research and Teaching & Scholarship Career Pathways with a full range of teaching responsibilities. (suitable for: staff new to teaching)
PGCLTHE - Postgraduate Certificate in Learning & Teaching (taught)
PGCAP- Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice (taught)
Are qualifications that can be gained by building on the foundation of ULTA-2.
Designed for staff with appropriate experience of teaching in higher education who do not have formal teaching-related qualifications or credits but wish to gain a University qualification that recognises their quality and competence as teachers in higher education
Designed for staff with appropriate experience of teaching in higher education who wish to gain a University qualification that recognises their quality and competency as teachers in higher education but who also want to claim advanced standing for existing, appropriate qualifications/credits.
Designed for more experienced staff who wish to develop and research their practice.
Candidates who successfully complete a Postgraduate Certificate or Postgraduate Diploma will be eligible for advanced standing towards the general MA programme offered by the School of Education.
