Development of Biolog-e, the undergraduate e-journal
Biolog-e was established with LTSN funds in 2002. A small TQEF grant is currently investigating ways to involve students in updating the journal as well as disseminating the practice to other faculties in the University.
The UTF will focus on longer term developments of the journal that will allow its continued production and develop means for the students to run the journal themselves. Inter-University interactions, initially with Sheffield, will also be developed with a view to enabling students to peer review articles from students from other Universities. Students will be involved in determining the activities they wish to pursue and appropriate training will be provided for them where possible.
