Organisational Development and Professional Learning

Research & Innovation

The Research and Innovation team supports the development of research skills and research careers as part of Organisational Development and Professional Learning (OD&PL). The key aim is to enable and facilitate the achievement of an influential world-leading University research profile. This is done by providing a continuum of provision, in line with the Researcher Development Framework. This extends to research students, postdoctoral research staff, early-career academic staff, and senior staff with research management and leadership responsibilities. The Research and Innovation team also plays a key role in developing and embedding National and University policy, through the Concordat to Support the Career Development of Researchers, and Guidance on the Employment of Researchers.
